A Good Chinwag with the MayoareBack Lads
Thank you to the lads at MayoareBack for having me on their podcast recently. I can safely say it’s one of the top 10 Mayo-based podcasts out there at the minute.
TJ and Fat Larry invited me on for a chat about my new book, I Can See It Still: Across the Landscape of Mayo Football, and we covered plenty of ground along the way. From the extraordinary events of July 26 to my various experiences following Mayo football as a supporter, journalist and member of the backroom team, there was no shortage of material to get through.
In all seriousness, the lads are doing great work in their own unique style, and it’s very refreshing to see. There’s no great formality about it, plenty of humour and a genuine passion for Mayo football running through the whole thing.
I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation, and thanks again to TJ and Fat Larry for the invitation and for helping to spread the word about the book.
The episode is available to listen to HERE. And do check out some of their other offerings while you’re at it.
