Creative Facilitation by Liam Horan

In my creative facilitation work, I strive to ignite a spark in groups, helping writers discover and develop their voices.

Ink & Imagination, an anthology written by students from Ballyhaunis Community School, is a project close to my heart.

Working with these young writers was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life, watching them explore everything from the warmth of family ties to the complexities of adolescence.

The atmosphere at the launch was unforgettable, as each student shared their work with an audience moved by their courage and talent.

My role as a facilitator goes beyond guiding writing workshops; it’s about building an environment where people feel safe to express, connect, and create. My master’s studies in creative writing at the University of Limerick have deepened my commitment to creative facilitation, especially through the Creative Writers in the Community programme.

Through each project, I aim to make creative expression a lasting part of people’s lives, and I am constantly inspired by the talent and passion I encounter.
